book nine: Drakenor

The Craftsman, the Pathfinder, the Henchmen and encounters with oversoul emanations, but at all costs the Natural Order Directive must not be violated…

ON A MISSION to reunite their friends from the future, nine members of the Berry Lake research station crew travel in a Diamantine Body, piloted by the android Craftsman, and guided by the Pathfinder, to a temporal locus fifty-two thousand years ahead in their timeline. But they discover whom they seek has been arrested by the Henchmen. The trail leads them to a plateau in a remote alpine wilderness thousands of leagues to the east of Ravensbrook, to a secret Martian base on Eorthe, the sequestered ancient monastery Drakenor.

Unfortunately, the Craftsman appears to have made a serious error; all the travellers’ lives are at risk. Creativity is demanded. Time-slips and time-travel sickness are unavoidable. Great care must be taken to not violate the Natural Order Directive. Several of the voyagers meet their other oversoul emanations from various points in the timeline, illuminating and bittersweet revelations.

Intrepid though they be, a great secret remains in great danger of exposure.

Drakenor is book three of the third trilogy, book nine in The Stars Hereafter Chronicles, a legend of courage, love, romance, mysticism and enlightenment as the dark past of a reluctant hero enables power but leads to increasingly dangerous crossroads on Eorthe and beyond.
